Robert, thanks for the post.   Are you able to enable ADSB Logging and send me a log?  For some reason, the ADSB logs I'm getting from JohnM aren't able to be processed (very weird issue that I haven't figured out yet).   I'm still hoping to get an ADSB log here that shows this ghost diamond which I can replay at my desk, so that we can eliminate this ghost.

Ok, I'll enable it on all 3 of my platforms... if I get another "hit", I'll send the log in.

Robert:

Glad to know I was not just imagining the UFO following me with alert warnings.

Brian had me turn my ADSB logging on so when I encountered the UFO I could send him the ADSB log and he could actually see it happening.

I am curous to know what device did you see this on?

Mine is a Samsung TAB A tablet.

John --

When I fly, I have 3 devices running iFlyGPS.... a 740b, an iPad Mini 4, and my Android smartphone.  The smartphone is set to cellular so it's not picking up ADS-B.  But both the 740b and the iPad are set to the ADS-B network and display targets.  In this case, it was the 740b that showed the "diamond" target.  In my previous "diamond" target experience, I think it was the iPad.  What that says -- that it will happen with one device but not another, on the same network at the same time -- I don't really know.  (The programmer in me knows there are way too many variables to take into account just by deduction, which is why they need the log!)  Given the weather, it will be Friday soonest that I will fly...  but I have all my devices set up to record the ADS-B log!

Robert

I will have my cell phone and my tablet on next time to see if it is device dependent.

It is disconcerting to have the UFO appear suddenly setting off the collision alert.

I notice that you also saw 0 knots airspeed on the UFO.
