You can clone your new card to your old card using this free software: EaseUS Todo Backup Free 10.0

If you need to format the old micro SD card, SD Formatter is another free software that works well.

Great idea, Tim.

Did you get into this on your own or were you a computer programmer at one point?

I am amazed at all the computer talent and knowledge on this site! Thank you.

Coming from me, who still exclusively used paper charts, analog instruments, and looking out the windon until recently, this is a whole new world. I am liking it!  Flying is actually more fun not having to worry (as much) about navigation and all the other informaiton we used to have to really WORK to get! Now it is all here in front of us! What an amazing decade of progress...

Mike

No, I'm not a programmer. Just a long time computer user.

Well, I am a programmer but only since 1977.

I've only been using iFly for about 3 years or so. (others before that.)

I've only been a tester and user of stratux since version 0.8something.

I've only been a pilot off and on since 1972.

Someday, I'll learn.

SkyPuppy,

Thanks  - I flew with the stratux this weekend and used the shutdown procedures you and others documented here - worked fine and did not take but another 20-30 seconds.

I want this card to last long enough to get the adsb out installed by next year, then we will see how to get adsb IN...not sure if the one I like is both an IN and OUT system or not...I am not sure, but I think it is possible to have adsb OUT with one system (built in) and adsb IN with a portable system for certified aircraft. We will see...

Thanks, Mike
