I would also find this useful. The charting solution I used previously used a small add-in of some sort to make MS flight Sim put the simulated GPS info onto the WiFi which the app then used instead of real GPS. I did find it very useful for training and learning how to best work the charting software into my flow.

What a great idea if it's practical.

I know there is an app (or two) that will take X-Plane data and use that as the GPS position source - so any Android app (including iFly GPS) will follow that simulator. I strongly suspect there is a similar tool for MS FS, but I've not played with those. If you find something on the Play Store that does this, please let us know.

Thanks!

There seems to be a few folks like me who are interested in connecting an IFly device to XPlane to take advantage of the moving map function. I am more hopeful that this will work with MS Flight Simulator X.

Appropel wrote in their docs: (www.appropel.com)
X-Plane to GPSl is a utility that allows you to use your Android tablet or other device as a moving map for X-Plane, the popular flight simulator by Laminar Research

MAPPING APPLICATIONS
Appropel endorses the following moving map applications:

- Naviator by 123west (http://www.naviatorapp.com/)

- iFly GPS by Adventure Pilot (http://www.iflygps.com/)
Hey Guys - If IFly is endorsed - does this mean you guys have tested this on the bench?
Did you use a USB "A" to "A" cable and connect the 7xx devices to a PC?
Did X-Plane actually send data to the IFLY moving map?
Did you check to see if the Android version works as well?

- EasyVFR by PocketFMS (http://www.pocketfms.com/easyvfr/). See the compatibility note below.

http://www.appropel.com/manuals/X-Pla...

The Android version is available on Google Play $.99
