Hi Jim,

Yes, this is a feature gap and it's on our todo list, but we don't have a date yet. May I ask the group to chime in, to help me prioritize this correctly? How big an issue is this to you guys?

BTW, we do have some code in our next release to detect rotation and give the customer instruction on how to change orientation. But this will only benefit first time users.

Thanks!
Walter

Automatic rotation would be near the bottom of any feature priority list that I could conceive. I wasn't even aware that iFly didn't have it. IMO it is also not a feature that would be important to selling the product, unlike some of the features that are not yet implemented.

I like the fact that it doesn't rotate, it stays the way I started it no matter what the orientation of the yoke does. Same is true when it is on my knee board.

For a while I though rotating the tablet "on the fly" would be a helpful - portrait for north-south trips and landscape for east-west trips. Even bought a rotating kneeboard. I got rid of it after the first time I tried it since I found it more trouble than it was worth. That was about 3 years ago or so. In that time, I've never rotated the tablet in flight. Always portrait.
