I turned 69 in December. I've been flying 53 years and still love it. However, I'm thinking about turning in my wings when I turn 70.
You've sure seen lots of changes. Bet when you started you couldn't even imagine having something like iFly in your cockpit?
Technically I _could_ say I've been flying for 43 years as I flew hang gliders in the 70's. I can hardly believe we flew those earliest ones with at best a 5:1 glide ratios and survived.
But I didn't get my real pilot's license and own aircraft until I was 70....a year older than you are now.... It was a bucket list item for me. I'm 75 and expect to be flying for at least another decade.
But since you're thinking of turning in your wings.... even less reason for you to worry that there's any chance Walter could be talked into raising your annual subscription by a penny. ;-)
