My ICOM A6 was crushed, a pair of sunglasses and case flattened, but my SPOT and the 720 survived. I don't see how. I tested the touch screen and GPS of the 720. All working.

The 720 was in the foam case, but I doubt it provided much protection in this instance. The SPOT is a tough little unit, maybe it protected the 720.

Now in the market for a new radio.
