I too would like to know what antenna would be compatable. I have seen the GA56 which is used on Garmins but the voltages are different. Comant offers several as well. I have an ADF I would remove and place the gps antenna in it's place.

The ka 92 antenna was hooked up to my kmd150 I know for a fact the kmd150 and ga 56 also work well together. I would assume it will work with the ifly the same I have seen ga56 going cheap on ebay since they are not waas capable You say you are removing your adf but isnt the adf antenna on the belly ?

I believe the gain on the ga 56 is only 17 db the ka92 is significantly higher.

I typically tell folks it cannot hurt to try an external antenna, but we cannot guarantee compatibility. If you run the GPS Diagnostics (Menu / About / GPS Information / Diagnostics), it's very easy to see if the antenna is helping, hurting, or doing nothing...the relative signal strength for the satellites should change up or down within a few seconds of connecting the antenna.
