This has been on the wish list for a couple years now.

I am now looking to find an app that will do this.

I have flow with pilots that have this feature and I like not having to look down at the screen to determing where the traffic is.

When you do finally produce an audio alert I hope you'll make it compatable with Lightspeed or other headsets through direct wire connection, or better with Bluetooth.

I get my current IFLY warnings via a small cable from my Lightspeed and/or BOSE headsets. Of course, Bluetooth would be nice, but any metgod of verbal traffic warnings would be a huge upgrade.

Flew with a friend in his 206 with Garmin. Loved being able to just look where it told us.

Also: I started depending too much on the ADSB to warn me until I remembered that heads up is STILL paramount since many do not have A DSB or do they plan to install it. Took only one close pass to get my head back outside.

Verbal warnings will help keep heads up.

I am surprised that I don't see more requests for this feature.

John,

Thanks for the good reply.  When using the Z3 Lightspeed headset with the 740b, please tell me where the audio cable  plugs into the 740b.  On the Z3 it's obvious.

Also what audio cable did you use to make that connection.  Where did you get it?

If I'm understanding you, the iFly already has audio out that will supply the Z3 with traffic alerts when fed into the Z3's control wart via an audio cable. Is this correct?

The output of my Android devices...phone, tablet...have an 1/8" output jack. From there I plug in my BOSE or Zulu aux connection.

The cable is about 3 feet long and can be purchased at any electronics outlet.

When I am on final I pull the plug out of my Android device and plug it into a panel jack that gives me AOA stall warning for that nice, slow touchdown. This is really helpful for those short and high back country strips.

I should mention that my paranoia about traffic is a result of a midair I survived several years back.  Now I have ADSB, a rear view mirror and smoke to "see and be seen."
