Just downloaded and verified software version 11.0.3 to Ifly 740.  Real Plan doesn't show up in Flight Plans Options menu.  Isn't it supposed to?

No, Real Plan doesn't work on the iFly devices.  They don't have the processing power.  You can import a Real Plan designed flight plan from a different unit though.

Yes, when this is ready we will send another email to everyone.  And well post on this forum.  Also when you do an Update you will see "Software" appear at the top of your list, indicating the update is ready to isntall.

The two quotes above don't agree.  I trust that Walter is right.  If the latter is true, surely we would have been notified.  We've been promised this feature for quite some time.  Most recently by 31 March.  I can wait until 31 March.

Patience is a virtue, perhaps one of the few that I still posess, but I realize with each passing day that "tempus fugit et citius citius".

Same reply I gave to your post over here:  http://www.iflygps.com/Support/Forum/...ope/posts#40512

When version 11 is delivered to iFly devices, it will not include the Real Plan feature (at least, that was my understanding, unless something has changed).  This is due to processing power limitations; it can take tens of minutes to get a solution on 7xx devices that take tens of seconds on high-end phones and tablets or seconds on laptops.  A similiar limitation exists with older iFly devices not having the synthetic vision feature that was introduced some time ago.

So those two statements you quoted can, in fact, be compatible.  It's just that v11 won't be feature-identical across all devices, just like v10 wasn't.

I find it very interesting that the iFly 740 which was the flagship of the iFly portables not long ago, does not have as much computing power as my Lenovo Tab 4 8.  The 740 when new cost close to a thousand dollars, the Lenovo Tab4 8 when purchased in the not to distant future of the iFly 740 cost one-hundred and twenty dollars.  I would expect that the iFly should be able to process the information as easily as my iFly 740.  I have a 32GB card in my iFly and a 32GB card in my Lenovo Tab4 8 so I would not think it would be a memory issue.  Could it be a program issue with the way the iFly must be programmed vs the Lenovo?  Another issue I have noticed is that it seems the updates are getting quicker and more attention being paid to the Android and Apple users than the actual portables that the Adventure Pilot Company was based on.  Don't get me wrong, I love my 740 and my 700 which started it all; and the programming updates up through the point of introducing the Android and Apple software were always timely.  It just appears that of late, the main concern is more for the alternate software than for the iFly portables.  I hope that the purchasers of the iFly units will not be forgotten.
