Has anyone hard wired or wifi d a video cam into the 740b? There appears to be a plug on the rear for hard wire. If so what camera has been used with success? Thinking about a video signal for hard to see area out of a taildragger.

How about a Dash Cam wifi'd or hard wired in . If so, what was your camera choice and results. ? I'm still looking.

Still looking for a CCTV or other bullet style camera that will interface with the 740b. I purchased a no name CCTV sony mini from AZ , on terminating to special plug for the 740b it did provide a B/W image and the image would appear and reestablish with the 12vdc applied ( like a backup camera) BUT the image "rolled" on the display vertically, maybe baud rate not matched?? Anyone have any success with a camera attached to 740b. Would be interested in your results

Yes, I've had a ton of clients do that with success! It's best done with a car backup camera. Have a client who put one on his Sonex and has a taxi cam. I obviously haven't done it myself, though, so I can't suggest cameras to get, but all he told me was it was a car backup camera he bought on amzn!

Thanks for the response, I was able to finally get the AV-1 to work on the second camera I purchased. Although I bet the first one would have worked if I had found the setting page and disabled the AV- R function first . Not sure what that is but there is another input for the AV-R adjacent to the AV-1 and evidently must be dis-enabled for the AV-1 to work. Now on to the task of getting video wire pulled thru the wing. My goal is to get a taxi camera working for a taildragger with limited fwd view.
