I have a remote mounted GPS antenna that I would like to use with the 740b. There appears to be no standard antenna connection port on the rear of the 740b. Has anyone tried an adapter to connect a standard antenna to the 740b for this purpose?

The atnenna connection on the back of the 740 is what IFly has always used. I don't know what they call that type of jack, but I bet Logan at Adventure Pilot could tell you if there is a commerical adaptor available.

I believe the 740 antenna connector is an mcx

Its MCX male to BNC female for a GPS externally mounted antenna connection adapter.

For anyone that is interested.

Jim, I don't have my 740 here so I don't know if the antenna connection on the back of the 740 is male or female but here is a short dongle you might get if the gender is correct.
