When I connect to  WiFi at home, I input the encryption code and tell it to save it.  It then connects and checks for updates.  However, after  the iFly then connects to my Stratux, the  next time I try to connect to my router at home, it does not remember the code, and I have to type it in again.  Shouldn't it remember the password/code, since it does recognize the router?  It is a nuisance, since the router code is long and complicated, and I have to look it up each time.

Can I get the iFly to remember the password I have saved for the WiFi connection?

Hopefully, someone else can answer your wifi question, but there's also an alternate method you can use, if you have a Windows computer and the ability to read/write to SD cards (USB adapters can be purchased cheaply, like this one:  https://www.amazon.com/IOGEAR-MicroSD...D/dp/B0046TJG1U),

Pull the SD card from your iFly, connect it to your computer, and run iFly Connect to perform the update.  It's faster than using the built-in wifi on the iFly device.

Download and install instructions are here:  http://www.iflygps.com/UPDATES/Download-iFly-Connect

I don't use an iFly device anymore, but I used a 700 and a 720 for years.  With the 700, I download update packages to a USB thumbdrive and plugged it into the 700 to perform updates.  With the 720, I used wifi when I first got it, but when the iFly Connect method was introduced, I switched to that and used it exclusively for years because it was faster and more convenient.

Thank you for the suggestions.  I used to use that method when I had my iFly 700, and as  you say, it works fine.  If I can't get it to save the password, that would work for updates at home just fine.  However, sometimes I do a quick update at the FBO at the airport over WiFi, so would have the same problem there..  The Stratux does not use encryption, so no password involved.  It just connects when it sees it.

I am pretty sure it used to remember the nework key for my router, so maybe someone can tell me how to get it to do it again?

Thanks.

I have not heard of the devices no longer saving wifi passwords.  I have not had issues with my demo unit sitting on my desk, even with 2 wifi networks, a multitude of stratux, Stratus, AstroLinks, and other ADSB devices, but I will pass this along, and we will try to figure out what is happening in your situation.
