I have noticed that the EFIS is non-responsive until the aircraft is moving at least 10 MPH.

In the run-up area it does not respond to the A/C position when turning to check traffic in the pattern.

Then when I head to the runway it does nothing until just when pulling onto the runway and moving faster.

Also, I have noticed that IFLY has just shut down on my tablet and I have to bring it up again. I am wondering if maybe the extra processing with EFIS may be overwhelming my tablet.

May be my tablet. May be some early bugs.

John,

I tried flying with it last weekend again - I got movement between 5 and 10 groundspeed so perhaps that is about right - worked fine in the air.

I have no issues with shut downs in the air, however - could not duplicate that problem you had.

Could be early bugs or it could be your tablet is just doing too much at one time?

John, I took everything else OFF my flight tablet except for IFly and STRATUX.  Seems to work much better.

BTW, did this happen to you in full SV or split page?

I was driving in the passenger seat of my car on a XC and tried the SV full page....it DID shut down twice for no reason, but perhaps I was changing things too often and creating an overload.  I can easily see us taxing our processing speeds and capabilities with SV!

We will keep experimenting with it for best results!

Mike

Here are some shots of my Ifly in SV last weekend...

This is me on the runway about to take off in split screen mode with SV on top and airport diagram on the bottom...

John,

Here we are rolling down the runway about about 70 knots and rotating - you can see the mountains in the background turning RED as I am below them...worked great.

Runway heading is 280....just as we went wheels up...this is what it looks like to me on take offs...in split screen.

John,

Pardon the glare...

After take off and turn to crosswind - a little over 700 AGL...turning for a downwind departure....the ground is still yellow (close) and other traffic is showing up on the split screen below near the airport...providing good SA.
