I continue to monitor the Dallas Avionics site awaiting the 1st step...namely the software update. Then I will fork out another $299.00 for the hardware when it is available.

In the interim I will continue to use my 600EXP to keep me from occupying the same airspace of another aircraft.

Been there...done that! Didn't like it much.

I also continue to use my 600 EXP and am very satisfied with the  performance that I see on this end of the exchange.  I probably would be willing to offer up another  $300 to get it  in 2020 compliance.  But I would want some  assurance that (1)  it gets the 1090 receive that I purchased  initially but lacks software or hardware.  ( 2)  assurance that the  position source is now good  for  FAA compliance  in a Experimental.  and (3)  the assurance that  the SIL will be 3 and  SDA > /=  2  .  Oh ,and also done in a timely manner.    Short any of these  I'm going to move on.   If  Navworx does eventually come thru after I have removed it from my plane ,  still may  upgrage and make it available for sale in what ever compliance that leaves it.

navworx is just now issuing two  new software verions. the earlier one takes SIL to 1. Thw second one can be downloaded when we have the new GPS hardware box ($299) and takes SIL to 3.

Attached is the link to the Navworx software/hardware upgrade bulletin. This upgrade i.e. software and hardware is supposed to make our Navworx units FAA legal.
