For anyone that knows, recently a link was posted that had the Stratux shopping list. http://stratux.me/ One of the items is a micro SD card with the Stratux software. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I0G15YU/ref=cm_sw_su_dp Is this necessary, or can I use a Micro SD card that I have and download the Stratux software somewhere free? Or am I actually paying for the Stratux program/coding in for this project?

If anyone is interested, Micro Center has the Raspberry Pi 3 on sale for $29.99 http://www.microcenter.com/product/461129/Raspberry_Pi_3_Model_B

You can roll your own. Here's a link to the images:

https://github.com/cyoung/stratux/releases

And here's the page with the incremental updates:

https://github.com/cyoung/stratux/releases

So for instance, to get to the latest bleeding edge release, you would download/unzip/image the latest full image from the first link and verify it works. Then, download an incremental update from the second link. Using the update function that's part of the stratux web page at 192.168.10.1, you can select the incremental file you just downloaded to update the full image to the absolute latest. Be aware though, this puts you on the bleeding edge of Stratux development and you're running the same version that is being tested and tweaked. So some pilots may choose to stay a version or two behind (a "stable" version) unless they are having issues themselves.

There are other ways and links to accomplish the same thing; this is how I choose to do it.

I now have and up and running Pi3 with both frequencies. My iPad (under settings) recognizes "Stratux" as wi-fi and has connected. I can see parameters on 192.168.10.1 Surprisingly in the house, under traffic, I am seeing N#'s but that is all

Now, how does this info get displayed on the iFly app on the iPad? Under Menu / About /connected device it says SkyguardTWX (receiver Only) (Not Connected) then "Selected device not connected" Tapping on Select Wireless Device shows check mark on SkyguradTWX .

If I missed a tutorial somewhere I didn't see one.

And, along with iPad app, what are steps to get this up and running on the iFly 720.

THanks,
