I just got the iFly Streets card for my 740 and am having a problem setting it up. I was told that it could be used in "North up" mode however I cannot find where that setting can be changed. I can change it on the map view screen but not on the navigation screen.

The "track up" mode does not give you the direction that you're going. Even if there was a box with the heading in it, the cursor needs to point in the compass direction that you're traveling. Being a pilot, that's kind of important to me.

I love the 740, and Streets, otherwise looks like a great app. I hope that I'm just missing something here but I've been through the manual and all the menus several times and have not found it.

Hope someone can help because this is a deal breaker for me.

David,

We will look into this here in the office. I know that I've personally seen it show navigation in a North Up layout. It may have been in an auto zoomed out to Overview mode. We will find out and report back, in the meantime please feel free to contact us at 888-200-5129.

Just getting back to you on this. You can set it to North Up, during the route planning mode. Basically, touch the screen and then you get a North marker, tap the Red compass to set to North Up. You can even Zoom in and Zoom Out. Your position will update on this page, but once you touch Back, it will take you out of North Up mode.

Also, once you select or start navigation, it is going to force track up. When on a longer road trip or extended stretch of road it will zoom out and show you a North Up progress screen, but upon approaching a turn, it will take you back to track up. I'm not familiar with an auto GPS to navigate in north up as they typically tell you the lane to be in and which way to turn. This could get confusing for some drivers on roads if not in Track Up. I hope this helps.

Thanks Shane, those are about the same conclusions that I came to.It's unfoutunate that it's limited in that way. There are free apps for phones that don't do that. Perhaps a future update might address this problem.

We'll definitely take that feedback into consideration. Noted on the wishlist.
