Hi Tex,

The 720 supports most of the brands out there: SkyGuard, SkyRadar, NavWorx, Clarity, Stratus I, Pathfinder, FreeFlight. We maintain a list of supported products for each iFly model on our website in the Support / Common Support Inquiries page.

All the devices have various pros and cons. As you add features - ADSB Out, AHRS, etc, you get some more capabilities - but the price goes up, or the installation headache goes up. If you want a solid weather device, inexpensive and easy to setup, Pathfinder is a good option. If you are also looking for Traffic information, and/or you want to take a step towards solving the 2020 mandate, you might consider NavWorx or SkyGuard.

Thanks,

Walter

You'll find that ADS-B In only units are pretty much worthless when it comes to receiving traffic. You really need ADS-B out to wake up the local ground stations so they transmit to your specific area. Not an issue if all you want is free weather, though.

I agree. I kept my Dual XGPS170 for only a short while before selling it on EBay and buying a SkyGuard transceiver for that reason.
