I purchaced an original ad hoc Skyradar D on eBay, and the wifi had issues. I sent it to Alexey at Radenna, and he replaced the guts with the latest Skyradar D hardware. It is esentially a brand new Skyradar D, supporting infrastucture connections to multiple devices, using dynamic IP addresses. It turns out that although it works perfectly with iPads and Android devices, it is incompatable with the 720. I sent both the Skyradar and my 720 to Adventure Pilot, and Ed played with them for a couple of weeks. His conclusion was the same as mine... it works great for the Apple or Android app, just not the 720
It may also work with a 700 via the USB connection. I see no reason why it wouldn't, but I have no way to try it. Ed may have when he had it on the bench, but I didn't think to ask him. Maybe he'll chime in here.
I thought I would offer it here first before I put it back on eBay. I'm just looking to get my money back out of it. $450 plus shipping takes it, so call it $475. Email if interested ske@zoomtown.com
Edit: I should clarify that this is a Skyradar D (V1). The currently available model is the Skyradar D2 (V2). It looks identical, and apparently works great with the 720. It sells for $689.
