Yes, I've flown with it in several locations. On the glareshield, in back seat and in the cargo compartment on the floor of a 172 and all locations worked. I would recommend a remote or antenna extension for optimal signal if placing on the floor. SkyGuardTWX sells an external blade antenna for about $32. We have many reports of the Visiom-Pro working in various locations of a plane now. I hope this helps.

Great, thanks Shane. I'm going to start saving my money so I can upgrade to the 720. I'm also planning to buy an i-Pad mini and install Foreflight. Does the SkyGuard unit talk to the i-Pad via bluetooth or wi-fi?

Sam,

Yes, you can connect to the SkyGuard with an iPad. However Foreflight will not support this product, they made the decision to only work with one ADSB device, the Stratus. (And Stratus only works with Foreflight).

Okay, you've whetted my appetite for some news and now I'm itching to hear what you're developing for the iPad or whatever platform you're planning for. When can we expect to see something? Hope I'm not being pushy.
