Glen,
Good questions, there are just a few AHRS devices on the market at this time, but more coming soon. Below is a list of AHRS Devices that are either supported or in development. Please feel free to contact us by phone or email with any questions.
AHRS Devices Supported or in Development
- Levil Mini and Micro G
- iLevil (Shipping Fall 2012)
- Clarity Core and Dual SV (Shipping Mar 2013)
When an AHRS is detected, the Artificial Horizon becomes active and it is driven by the AHRS, not the GPS. The Turn Coordinator will drop off and then you'd have the HSI in it's place. The AH would then be in the larger spot where the HSI was prior. Basically you should see the below behavior, unless you've changed the instruments.
- No AHRS Detected = HSI (Center) and Turn Indicator. (Lower Left)
- AHRS Detected = AH (Center) and HSI (Lower Left)
Hope this helps.
