While at Oshkosh I was told that an upcoming release will have a flight instrument screen. Could you elaborate on what will be on the screen? Will it be available for the ifly 700 or just the 720.

Thanks,

Allen

Allen: The Instrument screen in version 7.5 (which is in Beta testing right now) is for both 700 and 720. You will find a new choice in the MODE menu which brings up a black screen with "steam gauge" instruments on it. You can add, remove, arrange each instrument just like any of the regular instruments on the maps screens. Available "steam gauge" instruments are altimeter, groundspeed, VSI, turn indicator, an HSI, and an Artificial Attitude Indicator (AI) which only works if you use an AHRS (the LEVIL ahrs is supported). In addition, you can also add any of these "steam gauge" instruments to any of the map screens (sectional, TAC, Vector) the same way you add or remove any of the regular instruments. In effect, you can set up your own "split screen" so to speak. You will love the user interface - typical AP simple - and these new gauge-like instruments once they are released to production. Oh yeah, they are available in both landscape and portrait modes. iFly is simply amazing and simply the best. ===Ralph
