Different screens

I seem to have a problem switching from the multi media screen from the navigation screen. I am playing music while looking at the navigation screen but if i want to cut down the volumn or stop the playing i have to go to menu , then exit system in order to get back to the media screen.. Am i missing something or is this the only way? Please help..

Mitchell, currently that is the procedure. We have it on the wishlist to put media controls right on the aviation map somewhere...or provide a quick toggle over to that app. But it hasn't mad the cut just yet.
