I installed the NuShield DayVue, and can't say I see any significant difference in glare.  I have two 740b units, so I installed one, then compared them side by side.  I was certainly hoping for more.  They were certainly easy to install, and might make a good screen protector, but I can't say they do much, if anything for glare. I did the install on both units, so we'll see how they work in real usage.  The screen on the 740b does make a good signaling mirror if you need to be rescured though :-)

I have used a brand, Tech Armor, that I purchased on Amazon. I have used these on my iPad and 740b for many years now. The last ones for the Kindle Fire HD 7" were closest to the 740b and were only to be found on Ebay, but I have cut larger ones to size on occassion.  3 7/16" by 7 1/8" for the 740b. They were only replaced because I scratched the protector or I got them for friends that had tried mine out. The brand worked best for me in terms of retaining brightness and removing glare in my RV-8.

I have also made a point of wearing darker shirts, which had a huge effect on glare.

They have a few different flavors.  I'm assuming these are the ones you're using?

I tried Boxwave screen protectors from Amazon, and they DO cut the reflection and glare, but they also produce a pretty good haze effect.  I will try them again with a more fair test, since I was wearing a white shirt that day.  I usually try to wear darker shirts to fly, but it was just a quick test flight.

NuShield replied to my inquiry, and they're shipping me a pair of their TripleA shields, so those will probably be the next ones to test.

Thanks,

Rusty

The ones I use say: anti-fingerprint / anti-glare. The shirt is a huge part of the equation however.

I had a chance to install and fly with the NuShield TripleA screen protector, and I think it's a winner. It seems to have a useful amount of anti-glare without being too much.
