Great tool! Looks promising.

Another suggestion, if I may add: I would like to force a stop at a specific airport. Obvious reasons to do this would be to pick up passengers, or clear customs.

You should be able to do this.  Instead of filing LGA ->LAX  file LGA->IND->LAX (identifying IND as a landing/fueling airport) and it should do what you need.
