Using Sketch

I can sketch on the screen and it is saved but am I supposed to be able to insert that sketch onto the map if I restart the app? I don't see how to place a saved one on a map.

Look on the permanent menu items along the bottom of the screen. The one closest to the center of the screen on the right hand side (Sketch). Press/click on that and a box should open with a few templates, and the sketches you've saved. Select the sketch you want on your map, and it should do what you request.
