Thanks for the quick response!

So if I opt for the VFR option, but later on miss loading the SID/STARs in the route so much that I want to go for the IFR plan, is there a way to prorate the cost to upgrade or do I wait until my year is up?

IIFC, they just have different expiration dates.  Not an issue as long as you keep renewing both.

I have free WingX Pro7, Aerovie, and FltPlan Go.  I still choose to pay $129.99 for iFly GPS VFR, IFR, and Multi-Platform Add-On.  That's how good it is.  If you become a Beta tester, Brian is terrific in making continuous improvements and upgrades and is very responsive to customer suggestions (as long as they are widely desirable).

If you decide to upgrade later, just call the customer support line.  They'll give you options to upgrade so that you won't lose any money and won't have to wait until renewal to add the IFR data.

Right, what cobra said - just give us a call and we'll upgrade and pro-rate the balance so you don't lose any value...and your subscriptions will expire together.
