The only setting I can think of that's related would be "Attempt Internet Weather Download In Flight", under Menu/Settings, which I pretty much always leave checked.
Is the Stratux also connected to the Internet? Just because you are connected to it's WiFi does not mean that you have Internet connectivity.
I'm new to Stratux but there are no controls or settings. You just power it up and connect to it via WIFI. My 740 does see it and does get WX info and NEXRAD initially. It just does not update.
