I have iFly on a Samsung Tab 7 and on my cell phone. The tablet is mounted in the panel of my plane so I tend to do most of my flight planning at home on the phone then share the plan with the tablet via the "Share with Local Devices" feature. This has worked very well and I've been able to keep the list of saved flight plans on both devices in sync fairly easily.
I just noticed today for the first time that after sharing with local devices, and hitting accept on the other device, besides loading the current flight plan from my phone to the tablet any changes to waypoints on the master device or selecting a new NRST or Direct To waypoint are automatically transmitted to the slave device. Very cool!
I had it in my head for some reason as sharing the plan was a one time transaction, not a live connection the whole time. Even after seeing the "Auto Accept Changes" checkmark it didn't click what that actually does. This is a really neat feature and I'm guessing that I'm not the only one who wasn't aware of it.
Now that I'm aware of it I'm going to make my backseater the navigator with their device set as the master and if any flight plan changes are needed they can make them and I'll automatically get them up front on my tablet without having to press any buttons.
Really enjoying the product and how it improves my situational awareness without incurring very much heads down time. I set it up before flight and other than zooming in or out a little or turning on the extended runways when I'm approaching a new airport I rarely have to touch the screen in flight.
Keep up the great work!
