MILITARY

Greetings,

Thanks for your interest in our newly released iFly EFB application.  We renamed iFly GPS to iFly EFB (short for Electronic Flight Bag), as "EFB" is a better representation of our app.  iFly GPS was our original product name when released in 2008, these days the app is much more than just a simple GPS navigation tool - it has significant safety features, documents such as approach plates, synthetic vision, weather and flight planning, and more.

Also with this release we've added a Weight and Balance feature.  And we have some very significant improvements in the pipeline, which will be released in coming months.  These include a Glide-Ring, Checklists, integration with Avydine, and more.  Also during this year you will begin seeing the significant UI and performance improvements we've been developing rolled into our new iFly EFB platform.

If you use our portable navigation tools, such as the iFly 740b, these changes will not affect that product.  The name, functionality, and our commitment to continually provide current data to our portable iFly devices has not changed.  Also the new iFly EFB app will continue to communicate with your iFly 740b to transfer flight plans, etc, as needed.  If you have not tried using iFly EFB on a tablet or phone, we encourage you to give it a try.  Call us if you need help getting it figured out.

iFly EFB will still have the same features and capabilities of iFly GPS, but with a more intuitive design and a similar look and feel as a glass cockpit. We are aware that even small changes can be frustrating, but our goal at Adventure Pilot is to give our valued customers a remarkable product with a faster and simpler design, to reduce pilot fatigue with features such as easily visible navigation information and shallow menus for safe and efficient navigation. We are excited to implement these new changes and enter the next era of flying freely!
