Dick, that is Sunbury, 71N.
Typically, there are campers along the perimter, boats at the little coves and inlets, and planes flying in on the turf field...and the seaplane base. One family owns that part of the island and rents our space/power the campers, many of whom stay year-around.
This is an interesting place...Amelia Ehrhart once landed here and there are photos to prove it....a few summers ago, A B-17 landed here in honor of Dutch VanKirk, the Navigator of the Enola Gay, after he passed...it is a fantastic aerodrome, 3000 x 300 of nice turf.
Now, nothing due to the Chinese Corona Virus...
Hopefully, but the mid to late summer, we will have our FLY-IN COOK-OUTS the first weekend of every Saturday starting at 1100. The EAA chapter up there does a great job of it!
All welcome! Private airport wtih public access.
