Declutter option in vector mode

It would be useful if there was a declutter option in vector mode. I generaly like to remove things such as roads, state borders, etc so that only important airspace boundaries are shown.

Good feedback, this is a feature we've noted for future evaluation. We've heard it from decluttering the sectionals and charts, but only a few in relation to Vector Mode. We have discussed the ability to add/remove layers from the Vector Mode, especially as we plan to add in more details like the recent Obstructions. It would be handy to be able to select what is displayed, for example, Airspaces, Obstructions, Navaid (if added), Terrain, Airways (if added), etc.

There are lots of possible options with the Vector Mode. We'll make note of your request for consideration in future development. I hope this helps and we thank you for your continued business and support of the iFly GPS.

That would be wonderful Shane.

I can understand that decluttering a raster chart would be very difficult :) But that is why there is a vector mode.

One suggestion is to have either a single button that selects different levels of declutter or having a way to customize what is shown in the screen according to zoom level. Yes I know this sounds a lot like G***in but I have to admit that is what I am used to.

I know you guys can come up with somehting original :)

And BTW, you have my full support!. Cool unit.

Hi Shane,

I am reviving this post in hopes that one day vector mode in the iFly gets the attention it deserves. Let me explain:

I just completed the first long x-country with the iFly 720 since I bought it a year ago (rough river 2013, about 2000 miles).

I found the iFly great but I guess I am a little old fashioned and I am still not 100% sold on the digital raster (sectional) GPS thing. I just find it too cluttered when I am zoomed out. Don't get me wrong, I want that information, but when you are on a long x-country, particularly in an unknown area, what matters to me is to know what is coming ahead in terms of airspaces and airports so my personal preference is to switch to vector mode.

The problem I have with the current vector mode in the iFly is that it is still too cluttered for me. In my area (Miami) the ifly shows a spaghetti of roads and low obstructions which make it really difficult to easily see the class B, C and D in the area. Even for local flight, all I want to see is the airspaces to make sure I don't get inside one (in Miami we fly around a pile of them).

I know that if I zoom out some of the clutter goes away but then I am zoomed out too much.

My request would be to be able to select what is shown in vector mode. If it can be taken as far as to what garmin does (fully customizable filter based on zoom level) then this unit would become perfect for those that are very accustomed to vector mode.

Now, if I am the only one asking for this then OK, but there has to be many people out there that are used to the non-raster gps that would love this feature.

Other than that I love the iFly.
