Andre, this is just what I was trying to suggest, not going thru all this, just have an on screen icon that you just tap (+ or -) to go to your pre-selected choices of instruments (full screen), but the one I would prefer, is not have them on top of the charts, but be a one tap away, from chart to instruments screens, where you will have a full screen of either very quickly, or maybe like a panel scan on an automatic sequence, "charts -instruments" I just do not like to have a good portion of the screen cluttered all the time by instrument, specially with ADSB traffic coming into play in our days.

thanks, have a good day

I don't know how changing the display of instruments on your screen could be, on average, any easier than it is now.  Having a + or - on a dedicated button would only be quicker if you only had two different instrument layouts.  With the current method, you have a maximum of two clicks whether you have two layouts, or 5.

One thing I did discover is that if you have a certain collection of instruments on you main screen, then enlarge the EFIS, those instruments that were there won't necessarily be there with the half or full screen EFIS.  You need to make a separate instrument layout for each different size of the EFIS, as well as for different orientations of the screen.

Currently, the software only allows you to bring up an Instruments-only layout/screen by selecting Map Mode > Instruments. You can create custom Instrument-only layouts and save them but if you are in VFR, Vector, EFIS or IFR Map Modes, your custom instrument layouts won't be shown by selecting the Inst Group icon (lower-right). You need to first select Map Mode > Instruments before your custom Instrument-only layouts are shown under the Inst Group icon. If Brian could change the software to list all your custom layouts under the same Inst Group icon, irregardless of which viewing mode you were in, you could then switch from the Sectional view to any of your custom Instrument-only layouts (or from any custom layout to any other custom layout) with 2 button pushes.

By the way, the 740 hardware currently doesn't support full-screen EFIS. Brian is working on this but right now EFIS full-screen is only available in iOS, Android and Windows platforms.

That is a great question! Unfortunately, no. It appears the only half-screen options always include the EFIS display, i.e. EFIS/Sectional charts, EFIS/Vector, etc.

Keep in mind this is Brian's first public release of EFIS. I know he is currently working on revisions/updates. With the help of our/User input, he will no doubt fine-tune and add features that are most requested on this Wish-List forum. He is the Wizard!
