Is there a way I can temporarily run iFly on a PC? The reason I need to do so is to clarify a wish list item I have discussed a couple times, specifically for long flight plans (requiring one or more fuel stops.)

I see another gentleman has used a screen copy of his, to post on here. I have tried and tried to move a file from the Android tablet to a PC but have not been able to do so yet. <sigh> I've only been working with computers since 1977 so I still have a lot to learn.

Thanks,

David

I think they are working on an IFly version for Windows tablets, but it has not been released. You should be able to plug your Android tablet into your computer USB port and copy or move files. Or, you can send the file to Dropbox, etc.

I tried DropBox. It was NOT wonderful.

I did finally use the 14 1/2 billion steps necessary to get the screenshot from the iFly on the Android, through a Winblows machine, and into a Linux machine where I did a (very primitive) drawing modification.

Thanks, all, for the help!

David

Mod, you may delete this thread, if you please. I did it the hard way.

it really shouldn't be that hard, David. At the worst, you find the screenshot in your Gallery app, select the "share" option from the menu. Of the potentially dozens of things you can do with the photo from there, perhaps the simplest is to select "Email", and send it as an attachment to an email address you can access from your Windows device.

Pushbullet is another multi-platform info sharing app you might consider as a more clever solution.

I also use Google Drive as a common storage location accessible from all my devices.
