Was involved in a "what EFB/moving map do you use" discussion on a forum I frequent, and I piped up with my usual vote for iFly. Another person in the discussion said, "I liked that app, but the dealbreaker for me was lack of airway support in flight plans."

The example plan he used was: CYFD PIGLI V104 YXU CYXU

I can't remember if that's ever been requested before, or if it's on the future plan, but I guess there's one potential customer who chose a different app because of that feature.

Personally, I don't see that as a dealbreaker, and I would guess it would be a difficult feature to implement. My guess is you guys don't see it giving a lot of bang for the buck.

But I got the comment during a discussion, so I thought i'd pass it on....

Hi Cobra - I don't see the big deal either. I mean, the course line is laid out on a sectional chart which shows all the Airways, and other special air space. right? - Jim Williams

Guys,

Planning flight with airways is definitely on our list. I've been pushing this for a while now. While I agree, it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, I do see the importance for it. It's a common pilot function and we need to support it. Just like adding the and more navaids and detail to the Vector Map. We'll be doing this to.

Short response: Yes, it's is in the development plan... Coming soon.

The list is long, but we are knocking them out.

Just wondering where this is on the priority list (as well as SIDS & STARS).

For those who do not understand, an example. I'm considering a flight from North Carolina to Long Island. A common IFR route segment is RIC V16 JFK, which requires 8 separate entries if entering them waypoint to waypoint (that's just entering the bends in the airway)
