David, whether an Android device can share screen real-estate between two running apps is not something Adventure Pilot can control. Stock Android does not natively support this feature. At least one hardware vendor, Samsung, has customized their version of Android to allow two apps to share the screen, but not all apps will run in that config, and not all apps that run will run well in that config. I think Sony's version of Android offers something similar.
There is an app for iPads that will allow up to 4 apps to share the screen together, but I don't have an iPad and don't know how well it works or if there are limitations. If you have an iPad, perhaps you could use that to do what you're looking for.
