I am noticing that since the 7.5 series of releases the NavWorx ADS-600B is often not detected. Restarting the iFly seems to be the only way to make it work, and it often takes a few restarts.

On a related note, it seems that the system thinks all ADS-Bs are SkyRadar. Seems one could probably detect a manufacturer is that was desired...

Neal

A wired serial connection should show up as ADS-B Receiver, no matter what brand. Wi-Fi detects the brand for other brands, NavWorx did not have a Wi-Fi option until recent. You can actually set it in the Connected Devices setup area for Wi-Fi. Menu -> About -> Connected Devices, however there is not a NavWorx option for Wi-Fi yet.

If you are using a Wired connection and you are seeing SkyRadar, then you are likely not using the latest Software, 7.5.20. Try updating to the latest software.

Shane,

I am on a 720 running 7.5.20. I am using a wired connection, and I am seeing SkyRadar. It frequently takes several attempts to get them talking. I do not remember having the problem with the betas leading to 7.5.

Neal

That is very interesting. I've asked Walter to look into this one too. Unless, it is confused and thinking it is working off the Wi-Fi, is should show ADS-B Receiver. I've posted this to our Bug report and we'll dig into it.

Question, when it connects and works correctly, is it showing SkyRadar or ADS-B Receiver. Likewise, when it is not connecting, report back whether it is ADS-B Receiver or SkyRadar.

Thanks for your help and discovering this. Can you the Setup on the Boot screen and touch the ! with the partial triangle around it. That is the System Info page. Tell me what OS Version you have along with the Serial Number from the back of the device. This might help too.

When it does not connect it shows either nothing or NMEA Output.

When it does connect it shows SkyRadar and NMEA Output -- or just SkyRadar.

Thanks for looking into the issue.

I will get the rest of the info next to I make it to the hangar.

Regards,
Neal
