That is exactly what I do since I leave my iFly 720 in the plane while in the hangar. I just rotate the SD card and update using iFly Connect prior to each flight. Works great.

Yes, you just need to make sure you Copy/Paste the complete file/folder structure, except iFly Streets. The only thing that won't work when copied is the iFly Streets, it is licensed to the physical SD card. Below are some detail steps, These are for transferring to the PC, then to the SD. If you have 2 SD slots, just a Copy and Paste is needed.

1. Remove and Insert your iFly SD card into your PC.
2. Create an "iFly Back Up" Folder on your desktop.
3. Copy all the Folders/Files (except iFly Streets) from the original SD card and Paste into the "iFly Back Up" Folder.
4. Copy/Paste the complete contents (Files and Folders) of the "iFly Back Up" folder onto the new SD card (Make sure the new SD card is formatted in Fat 32.)
5. Insert the new SD card into your iFly and test.
6. Once confirmed it works you can remove the iFly Back Up folder from your PC.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any question before doing this if you are uncomfortable moving files around. There is no need to delete any of the files on the original SD card so there is little risk. Just make sure your Copy, and do not Cut. Good luck. I know this is a little rudimentary, but other owners that are not a computer savvy might try these steps.

I know what you mean, I use Mac at home as well. I do keep a Windows laptop floating around just in case. We've talked about adapting iFly Connect for Mac OS, but unfortunately there just is not enough Mac user at this time to justify it. iOS is different than Mac OS as you can't download a file from an iPad to a SD card without a Jailbroken iPad.

The SD card / Camera adapter is really only for importing to the iOS device. Unfortunately an iPad or Android tablet is just not a replacement for a PC or Mac. There is just so much that you can't do on them. We'll keep an eye on it.

Another option is to load / run Windows on your Mac, providing it is an Intel model. You can use Boot Camp or run it in Parallels. I've done this as well and it works great for those time you just need a Windows PC. I created a very small partition on my Mac to run Windows. I just press the P when booting up the Mac and it prompts for Mac OS or Windows OS.
