I tried to call today but got put on hold followed shortly by 'Goodbye' :) I am assuming that I Renew my subscription and I also need to Renew my Multi-Platform Upgrade? I used that Multi-Platform for a an android device and it has never worked... I am going to remove it from that Device, will this free up one subscription? How will you know? Should I change my iPhone, how do I change over my subscription? How much memory is needed for 1/2 of the US with an iPhone? THANKS!

Try calling back. It's a small shop, and if you are accidentally disconnected, call back and tell them that and I bet they make darn sure it doesn't happen a second time. While the AP guys do frequent this forum, it's not an official support method and for account issues they're almost certainly going to suggest you call the support line.

If you're talking to them on the phone, they can work with you to look at your account settings, including the devices tied to the account, and they can get you fixed up right away.

Many folks have had very good experiences on the phone with AP. Give 'em another chance.

sorry for the frustration on the phones. We've temporarily been one man down in our support and the phones have been busy after the new data cycle. These are not excuses, just a temporary state of our office. We'll take measure to try and eliminate this from happening in the future. We'll also check into the phones and see why it dropped you.

As for the renewal, yes you will need to renew the Multi-Platform upgrade as well if you plan to continue using it on 3 total devices or mixing platforms.

Now for registering or de-registering devices. You can touch Menu -> About -> Account Info -> then touch the Edit option for your account, next you'll see a Change Email next to your email, touch it. On the next page that pops up there will be a Detach Device towards the bottom in the center. This will remove that device from your account. FYI, in our next release this is much easier. I hope this helps. If you have troubles, please feel free to contact our support team.

Jim,

The full US with all IFR is about 8.5-9gb. It's really going to depend on the states include as CA, TX, AK are larger data hogs due to plates, photos, etc. But I believe 3.5-4.5 gb would be safe, less if you don't need IFR, WAC or Alaska. I hope this helps.

I was not frustrated with the phone, found it funny!

I will keep Cobra's suggestion in mind for the future.
