I too have some similar interference issues. I'm not totally convinced it's coming from the power cable, but I'd like to get one and see if it helps. I looked in the 'Shop' and didn't see it. How do I go about buying one with the choke on it?
Thanks,
Wit

A follow-up to my earlier posts: Now that I have flown several hours with it, I am still noticing some interference from the battery-to-iFly cable, even though I'm using one with a choke now. The interference is still much reduced compared to the original cable.

I always use the same plane, but I remove my battery and iFly after every flight, so that means they get set up slightly differently each time. I have the ship's power cord running from stbd to port across the top of my glareshield, with the battery tucked up against the windshield on the pilot's side of the glareshield. The cable from the battery just drapes down the side of the wall, then loops back up across my left leg to the input at the bottom of the 720 (which I use in Portrait mode).

Depending on how close this wire gets to the handle on the yoke, I may pick up some interference on the intercom. With the original (unchoked) cable, It was tough to find an acceptable location for the cable--the best I could hope for was "minimal" interference.

With the choked cable, occasionally it will cause interference and I'll have to reposition it to get rid of it, but there are many positions where no interference can be detected.

Cobra,

That is good to hear. One other simple thing you could try... many electronics stores have the clamp on chokes, put one of these at the other end. It would likely be a more powerful choke and having it on the other end too, would reduce noise before it got to the unit itself. Just a idea that would be easy and not cost much. I think these chokes are only a few dollars and might be worth a try.
