Here's a copy/paste of another post where I explained how I upload photos.  There's more than one way to skin a cat, but the cat doesn't like any of them:

Assuming you want to upload an image from your own computer, here's what I do -

1 - Make sure to select "Rich Text Editor" (above the text entry box) and place the cursor in your post in the position you want the picture to appear

2 - Click on the "Image" icon.  It's the one to the right of the Flag-looking icon on the top row

3 - Select the 3rd tab, labeled "Upload"

4 - Click "Choose file", select the file (picture) to upload, and click "Open"

5 - Click "Send it to server" and wait while the file is transferred to the iFly server

6 - Click OK

That's all!  Now you can complete your post and the picture will be included

Advanced: Walter has graciously allowed us to upload larger pictures than in the past, but some of our pictures are of such grand quality that they are huge and require a scrollbar to see the whole thing.  We can adjust the size of our pictures ourselves with a little effort.  Once the picture is uploaded, it appears in a preview pane where you click OK (step 6 above).  On the left side of this preview pane, you can adjust the size of the picture.  The simple method the I use is to make sure the "lock" icon is closed, which locks the aspect ratio of the picture.  Then I change the "Width" to something between 500 and 1,000 to adjust the picture size.  Click OK, and then preview your post.  If you don't like the size or placement of the picture, you can delete the picture from the post before uploading and try again.

Wow!

Thanks! That worked asap!

I flew around all day trying to clear it!

Really appreciate your advice! Helped me right away.

I've been on this forum for ONE DAY and it's already valuable to me thanks to you guys!

Sincerely appreciate it, Jeff!

If you ever land at N94, I will buy you a beer!

Mike

Gents, thanks to Jeff, I can post a photo of the problem I was experiencing.

This issue is now rectified by taking Jeff's advice - thanks again!

I also just learned how to post a photo as well. Before posting, I reduced it to as small as possible to not overload the server.

Thanks again - learning a lot here. I can see how I will get even more value from my iFly by reading these pages!

If I ever land at N94, I'll drink it!  I'm assuming you purchased a Stratux with the AHRS board inside.  The AHRS works really well, but needs to be calibrated, so it knows which way is up, forward, etc.  That's why it was constantly popping up on you; it was disoriented.  The Stratux AHRS routines are still in beta testing but it is maturing fast and most all of the AHRS bugs have been squashed.  Because it is progressing so fast, some of the info in the following link may already be outdated.  But for all things Stratux AHRS, including orientation procedures, see this link:

https://github.com/cyoung/stratux/wiki/All-About-AHRS

Happy to help!

Jeff,

Thanks - I was actually picking it up (the STRATUX) and making it roll a few times in flight to see what affect that would have, but it just kept rolling.

Disabling it for now is the way to go for me...today was the first time I ever used ADSB. (Again, thanks!)

I do fly in very congested areas, like Washington, DC, New York City, Philly, Baltimore, etc. on a routine basis, so I am very used to having my head OUTSIDE. I am really hoping this ADSB will help with some of the traffic - we will see.

Today, I did see one aircarft (not talking) on the ADSB and called out to him over a non-towered airport.

While I was talking to him, a Yellow (what other color is there?) Piper Cub zoomed right by me! He was NOT depicted on ADSB as he had no electrics in his airplane and was only using a hand-held radio to talk in the pattern (as I later found out by talking to him on the ground.)

Anyway, the guy over the airport called "jumpers away" with me directly below him (I was in the pattern already) and I landed with parachutists landing all around me between the runway and taxiway  -go figure!

So, my FIRST day with ADSB just went to prove it will NOT really save you from everything! Still have to be LOOKING OUTSIDE for the unexpected very basic aircraft, gliders, and of course, parachutists! What an eventful first day with STRATUX!
