Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4-Inch WiFi Tablet or the new one - Galaxy Tab S2 (2016, 8.0, Wi-Fi) with wireless and data. I have Verizon I have been using this Amoled screen with Verizon data and is unsurpassed. You can get all your weather updates on the ground first and if you have ADS-B, then shut off data and wifi and go ADS-B weather IN after that. And of course you can use it on the ground for your wifi or data down/uploads. Great tablet and the battery lasts a long time. They might be a bit pricier but they are great tablets.

I think you misspoke, there. All the in-flight ADSB options I'm aware of today use wifi, so you'd need to leave that on in the air to get ADSB data. Thanks for the pirep on the Samsung S2 tablet, though.
